The proposed design for this urban book store is Champaign, IL revolves around the utility of parametric horizontal planes that line the interior of the space. These horizontal planes are meant to serve as seating, shelving, workspaces, and the agent for the leading aesthetic for the design. The project works to explore the shared utility of function and aesthetics in one conceptual fixture piece. This project was part of a Junior design studio at the University of Illinois.
